Ok....Let's get this started. Tell us about your Suki...

I have a 1992 150 SS. No problems what so ever and still runs very strong. Pushes my boat to 60-62 GPS @ 5900 RPM's.

Well, I have a 40 4 stroke at the present time...dad has a 150 on his houseboat, and a 15 on his flat boat...Soon as my merc craps out, I'm gonna get me one of them 250 4 strokers to put on my cobra, and then it's set....

have owned several through the years, and the only problem I can remember having is I had a starter vibrate loose at one point...

Come to think of it, this may end up being a very boring board....you just don't have many problems with these motors...and that's a fact....a boat dealer who handles a few different kinds of motor can tell you that....

I have a 98 D9.9c 2-stroke and a 2002 Johnson(Suzuki) 50HP 4-stroke. Don't think there will be alot of excitement here, I watch a couple of outboard forums and they just don't seem to have alot of problems. I still love the OMC's.

Mine is a 1987 DT 150 SS on a 1987 20 foot nitro. Starts right up and runs strong. I live in eastern PA and have found a shop in NJ that has parts and services them but I haven't really needed anything in the 2 years I have had it.

    Re: (92petejj1)

    92petejj1,

You will not regret buying the Suzuki. Bullet proof motors and that 150 SS is very stout. I have had zero problems with mine other than routine maitanence just like you have mentioned that was done to yours. Congrats on the boat and welcome to the BBC. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions that may come up.
    God bless,
    Stephen
