Thanks, I am pleased to be here. I have already gained some knowledge on things that I have been struggling with.

Hi all, I found this site awhile back, I had a 2003 Triton with a 200 opti on the back, and the site was a great wealth of knowledge. Living in Minnesota, I found myself needing a boat that could handle bigger water (ie Lake Mille Lacs, Lake Michigan salmon fishing.) So.... I sold the Triton, and planned on waiting a year or two 'till I could get my dream boat. Next thing I know, the wife is prego, so the boat is top priority. We all know once a little one comes, it is a tough press to spend that kind of money. Two months after the Trition is gone, I have a Ranger Reata in the garage.

Finnally the tie in....It is pushed by a DF 175. whew.... That is my story, sorry it is so long.

I also have a 1992 Suzuki 150 SS. Great motor, but it has been giving me fits over the past 3-4 years. Carbs or fuel tanks not sure. Can a fuel tank go bad in a boat?

When it was running good it would push my 177 Pro Tournament Sprint Bass Boat clean out of the water......literally! Scared the begeezes out of me the first time it did it.

    I just bought a 89 Ranger 361V with an 89 Suzuki 150 Super Six.
Haven't put it in the water yet since our water is hard right now. I'm looking for a tach sending unit for it. Any suggestions where I might find one??
    Thanks,
    Thom

I have a 1988 Suzuki 150SS. Most reliable engine, always runs great. My only problem is that I put one of those 'fins' on it to get on plane faster years ago and one of the nuts got loose and it broke off a piece of the lower unit casing ( the wing that sticks out ). But great engine !

I have a 97 30 HP 2 stroke on a 16 foot LUND. Pushes it just as fast as my dad's 50HP Evinrude on his Lund. Everyone that rides in my boat comments on my Suzuki. They always ask me if it is a four stroke as it is very quiet. My dad also has a 5 HP Spirit made my Suzuki. I believe it is a 78-79. Best little motor I have ever seen. Light weight and quiet. Tons more power than american brands. I had an 89 Suzuki 8 hp for a while and it was cherry. Guy I bought it from last year said it had about 4 hrs on it and you could tell. But I sold a boat and threw it on there to help up the price. Wish I still had it. Nice to meet you guys. I'll be back! Metty

96 dt 150 on a 96 Bumble Bee Prov 180. Only pushes around 56-58 mph on this big heavy boat but it's strong out of the hole and always reliable.

Hi guys. I have a 82 Glastron 16.8 with a DT140 on it. Have had the boat since 86. It had a DT115 Suzuki on it. Upgraded in 1990. I love this old boat and motor. Never had a problem with my Suzukis. Have had 3. Pictures to come!!
