You know, the biggest bass I've weighed in at a tournament was 8.61, and I don't even have a pic of it.

don't have a pic, but my biggest was a good story on KY Lake about 4 maybe 5 years ago.

She was a little over 8lbs. We didn't have a camera, and my scales were old, so maybe it was a little smaller, or bigger, just have to go with what the scales said. The story part is the catch.

We were fishing KY Lake in April, and we were just running main lake cuts and fishing the banks. I was throwing my one ounce CR, and I set the hook. I thought I was hung up, until my line took off toward the deep water. I got the fish in, and the hook fell out. We looked at the fish very closely, well its mouth to be exact, and there were no holes at all in the fish's mouth. I never got the hook to penetrate. That big ol' girl just had a lip lock on my lizard and wouldn't let go until I had her in the boat.

I couldn't believe it. I've seen a few bigger ones from KY Lake, but not that many. It was fun, and I was excited, but it's not a prize winner, I know that. I just couldn't believe I even got the fish in the boat!

I caught my personal best this past fall, she weighed in at 11 lbs 13 oz!! A day I will never forget!! She put up an awesome fight and was released after a few pics. Hope to catch her again a few years down the road.
