    Cool Boat videos

I had some time to burn so I thought I'd post some video clips from the past. The quality of these is pretty bad because they were taken in 1996 and 2000 on a Hi-8 camera, transferred to VHS, then to dvd. We spent a great deal of time on the James river and the Appomatox river taking video to be used at the boat/fishing shows as an attention getter for Sanderson Marine. The clips are of my 1994 red XB2003 with a 96' Promax 225; a 1995 XB-2003-t with a 98' Promax 225 and a 2.4 EFI Bridgeport depending on the clip and a 2000 XB-2002-t with a 2.5 Drag. We burned a lot of gas but had a great time and for myself, made a few memories.

OMG!!!!! Thanks you for sharing those with us!!

Other than being a bit more fuzzy than todays HQ the videographer did a great job of zooming and keeping the cameras steady. Nice Job!!

I think either Lee or Troy(owner of both the other boats) was the camera guy for my 2003. The rest was me with the camera, thanks!

I spent a lot of time in that boat. My friend Troy was the original owner. He bought it from Lee Sanderson in 1995 and kept it until around 2003 I think.

I'm the 3rd owner, I've had it since 2009. Do you know what the pushbutton just forward of the shift lever was for? I traced the wires, but it dead ends back in the back. The boat has a few little issues, but it's been a good boat so far.

Brian, how far back do they go? .......maybe a neutral safety switch over ride? Push it and hold it and see if it will start in gear.

They go back behind the gas tank where they're looped up and don't go to anything. It starts in gear, but those wires are tied together behind the wall behind the shifter. This is just a momentary pushbutton. That would be a good idea though if you still wanted to keep the in gear start protection.

I don't recall anything like that on the boat but it has been a long time. Do you have a pic? If I don't recognize it, maybe Troy will. He isn't a computer person so he isn't on here at all. When he sold it, it had a 150 Promax on it. He had four different motors on it During the years he had it so anything is possible.

That was the kill switch for the fuel pump on the 2.4Ltr Bridgeport. When we raced with ECDBA it was a safety requirement on anything with an external fuel pump. You should be able to pull out on the red button an see it's notched for the lanyard.

I'll have to snap a pic next time I go get it out. It had a 225 promax on it when I got it. Guy I bought it from seemed kinda clueless about a lot of things, seemed to use it mainly as a fishing boat.

    Ron,
What do you mean bad quality? Those stunt and camera men were pro's!!!!!

Those were some great times, every weekend all day pass after pass no matter how cold it was.
I'm pretty sure we wore the gelcoat off the bottom of your dad's boat, no wait, it's still fished hard most every weekend by it's fourth owner.

The 02 with Troy flying it is one of the reasons we named him "The Flying Fat Man"

I think the video with Troy's 03 with the Bridgeport was the same day I did the seagull vs windshield test @ 100+. The windshield won thank goodness.

Those were great days for sure. I wish we had todays camera technology back then but we did okay with it. We had plenty of practice!!

WOW! Thanks Ron for sharing those videos with us. They are some of the best videos I have EVER seen of Allison boats doing what they do best. Thanks again, Bob
