I have a 1996 pro craft 200 DC tournament special I'd like to get more speed out of. It has a 6" jack plate and a 24 fury II prop. Wot 56 to 58 with my wife,me and our three kids. Really would like it at least around 65

W/O knowing your max rpm's, motor height, water pressure, etc. I think you're doing pretty good with what amounts to 3 adults in the boat.. Add gas and your right at max speed, imo.. Try it with 2 adults and 1/2 tank of fuel and see what it'll do..

I have a 2001 procraft 190 superpro with a 150 Mercury xr6. I am trying to find out the best prop setup for this boat. I am currently running a 25p laser 2 prop which came with the boat. The best speeds I've got out of this boat is 60 mph (gps) with 2 people 25 gallons of gas and fishing load. I don't find the front of the boat lifts as good as it should. I am thinking about trying to run a 23p tempest and see how it does. Any suggestions?

So I’m still confused I guess... I just bought a 2001 185 procraft and i was giving a manual 12 in jackplate for free. But I’m still confused on the whole transom discussions I’ve been reading about... so I guess my question is will it be ok if I go through with mounting this jackplate? Thanks for the info

My very first Bass boat and first boat period.
    1987 Astro/Procraft 1780 V
    Engine Johnson 150 VRO
I have done had her out 4 times and runs and rides great.
The 2 top decks are solid, missing one original rear storage lid, has a lid just not original. And the center deck has soft spots but knew that, I knew the previous owner last year they just put new plugs, wires, fuel filter, and 2 new batteries in 2020. Working on oxidation now and restoring the shine and sparkle.

But for my first boat pretty excited, she fires right up. Just needs some TLC , all the seats are great and mounts all strong.
