Yep, all were alive and well!!!haha Had to be very careful of where you stepped, especially along the cliffs. We found several crossing the road, which is where the name comes from. Spring and Fall is the best time to see and find several species of snakes. They are going back and forth to there hibernating dens in the limestone cliffs. The only two that we did not find that are there, were copperheads and Timber rattlers. Maybe next time............

My son had a blast as he is snake crazy. He has a pet corn snake and would have more if we let him.

What kind of snake is this? I could've sworn it was a copperhead.

Makes sense. I was questioning it a little bit because the spots on the back weren't quite hourglass shaped, but looked close enough to me to run away. Now that I know it's a cottonmouth I would piss myself and then run away.

I'm glad you three had a good time...I wouldn't of . It's safe to say we won't ever meet up on that hiking trail I have a 8 yr old nephew that would love that place, his uncle Richard won't be taking him
