    Wiring accessory to accessory switch?

Currently I do not have anything wired to my accessory 1 or 2 switch. I would like to wire a light to one of them but I cannot make heads or tails of what is going on under there except a rats nest of wires running here and there. I figured there would be a pos and neg post on the back of the switch to hook up to but the only thing coming into it is a hot and ground from the main switch.

So where is the connection to operate something when the switch is closed?

I have been working on this boat all winter and it is really starting to kick me in the rear end!

Don't think it matters which is positive or negative the switch breaks the current for on and off..

Have to look at boat work as fun and a hobby not a job

Unless of course ya had to replace transom, stringers and everything else from the bottom up

Run your ground to the fuse block ground and the positive lead to the accy switched leg.

The positive or RED will go to the spade on the switch itself, should be HOT going into the switch and a small wire for the LED light coming out the spade should be there. Follow the BLACK from the LED and it will tie into the NEUTRAL cluster for you NEGATIVE. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, I have it figured out now! Just could not make sense out of it last night.
