    Questions on a new XRS

    1. What can I do to stop the porpoising of the boat when coming down from speed?

    2. On the extra gas tank when and how to you switch it from the main tank to the auxiliary tank? Do you have to shut the engine off?

    3. Does the gas gauge register for the main tank and if you switch to Auxiliary tank for the auxiliary one?

You can switch tanks with the engine running , the gauge only shows the 35 gallon tank. On my last boat I had two saddle tanks and installed a gauge with a three way switch to read them.
I have no advice on the porpoise issue haven't had my xrs long enough to work on it but I know what you mean .

Redistribute your weight... I've got a 2018 XRS with a Pro XS 2 stroke and I don't have any porpoising at any speed... Dan

trim all the way down when slowing down. If your already doing that , negative trim wedges and foil will help

Mine has the negative trim wedges (no foil) and I can trim down and cruise about 20 mph nice and flat with no porpoising. If you have the negative trim wedges you don't need a foil ... good for coming out of the hole as well.

Only thing I have forward of the console is a few 3700 Plano's with hard baits, 2 spinner bait boxes, terminal tackle, the net, throw cushion, life jackets and my rods and reels... Everything else, jigs, plastics, pork frogs, snacks and rain gear are stored in the back 4 compartments...

Here's a thread talking about them on a Bullet 21SCD. There are several kinds, I would guess it depends on what jack plate you're using.
