Wish I lived closer. I hear that's an awesome lake.

I had planned to spend ATLEAST one whole day last week doing exactly what you did. It didn't work out with my schedule though. It's way up on my list of things to do right now.
*******FYI.....do NOT try to launch at ramp road right now. I know some guys that tried to launch there last week, and their trailer went off the end of the ramp. They had to get a back-hoe to come & pick the back of the trailer up, to get it out.******
They had a BAD day at the lake....
Do you know what ramps can be used? Jakes? Highway 2?
Jake's is usually the best ramp for low water. You will probably just have to back the trailer in a little less than normal to get the bow to go up & over the bow roller of the trailer when you load back up.
Be REAL careful if you plan to run on pad. *****Remember that the marked boat lanes are NOT all marking the channel. There are LOTS of places that you will run aground, or into stumps, that are inside the "marked" boat lanes.
I sure hope that they will close the lake to fishing soon. I have been hearing some disturbing stories of people hauling WAY too many fish out of it lately. I just hope they won't close it to boat traffic all together. I guess if they do, I will just have to put on the old mud boots, and start walking.
I have heard the same stories. I just want to get some GPS locations. Wish I had a Helicopter.
I saw alot of people catching white perch and the ramp i used was jakes at the bridge i would be careful because the channel markers in certian places are not on the true channel and yes in certian places you will run aground are center a stump, i used my triton tr 196 but i wish i had used a smaller rig i believe that would be the best descision. If you know how to run the old channel on the big lake you are fine stowe and corney can get dangerous little darbonne is ok but be safe and take your time.

That would be the way to go. When I get rich, & famous....I plan to have both.
It sure would be nice to have a 16' tin boat for times like this, and lots of other circumstances too. I'm gonna keep dreaming anyway.
tghe only two ramps you can use are jakes and darbonne village
Welcome Marty.....Good to see another local guy on here.
What clubs are you fishing? No see for a while.
