    new scope for my 30/06

Guys - looking at some new scopes for my Savage 30/06 - not looking to break the bank but a good 3x9x40 or 50

I've had my eye on the Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9 x 40mm Matte DOA 600 Riflescope - anybody have any reviews for this one?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

If you can find a Vortex, check them out. One of the highest rated, "under $200.00" scopes on the market.

Absolutely the best warranty out there. If ANYTHING happens, send it back, no questions asked!! Doesn't matter if you bought it used, etc. They don't even have a warranty card to send in when you buy a new one...

Bushnell Elite is one of the best buys in scopes out there....you will not find a better scope in the sub $200 range than this one.

I just actually bought 2my scopes last week from academy and ran across a good deal on a burrow 4.5-14-32 for 129a and I think its regulars 220 to 230... but I love it its as good as a $400 hiking I've used..

Vortex makes very nice scopes. I have 3 of them. SWFA has the 2-7x32 Viper at a great price. I use to think I needed high magnification and larger objective lenses, but I've learned this isn't necessary in most applications.

Re: new scope for my 30/06 (PSM207)

I just purchased a new scope for my daughters 7mm-08 and wanted to keep it under $200. Redfield was on my short list as it had very good reviews. in the store I compared it to a Nikon ProStaff. Both in 3X9X40. Hands down the Nikon was better glass. i picked it up for just over $100.

Bushnell is great product and you could also look at Sightron. I've got both and the Sightron is a little more money but better than a Leupold.
