I have owned 2 - a .308 and a .243 that I won in a sales contest back in the late '80s. They were accuate enough to shoot plenty of deer in GA - though most of my shots were within 150-200 yards. I could manage consistant 1 1/2 inch groups at a hundred yards. Detachable box magazines were very handy, too. If some low life thief hadn't stolen them, I'd still be using them to this day. Absolutely loved them. The newer ones, in my humble opinion, are not nearly as nice looking as the older ones.

I have one in 7mm-08 and love it. Very accurate out to and beyond 300 yards.

My buddy recently bought one in 7mm 08 off of gunbroker.com, it's a beauty and a nail driver, very little recoil.
