should'nt i be seeing water stream and water pressure out my ox66 when I hook

should'nt i be seeing water stream and water pressure out my ox66 when I hook it up to the ear muffs or do i have to wait for the engine to warm up before it starts running water through the cooling system. Put a new water pressure gauge on today wasn't getting any pressure or stream out the hole didn't let it run more than 30 secs thought I should ask first, i put air hose from the motor to the gauge and it's showing it works ok no blockage, thanks

another thing, make sure you have sufficient water pressure form the hose.

I tried the same thing and got an overheat alarm. Shut it down and took it to the dealer (motor had less then 30 min run time on it - aqll by them).

they tested it and it was fine. took it back home, same thing. Took it to the local ramp and dunked it in, it ran fine.

When I got back home and was hooking it back up, as I turned on the hose, I heard a hissing noise. My pipe had split just under the house, and wasn't giving it enough flow/pressure. Fixed the pipe, and it ran fine.

maybe no water at the back, but should have some pressure on the gauge

Dad has a yamaha and we have put it on ear muffs before and saw no water coming out. Hooked it to the flush valve and worked fine. I have 2 different muffs, duel and single. The single works better imo. Dad has the duel muffs, that might be the problem.

I've seen a lot of people post they have little or no pressure on the hose. My 200HPDI will "pee" and I get pressure when on the hose & muffs at the house. The pressure is lower than when on the lake, but I do get fairly decent pressure on the gauge.

I had on round set of muffs that apparently did not seal well on the rectangular water intake of my lower unit. I've since bought a heavy duty set of muffs with rectangular cups that fit better and I did notice the pressue is better.

I have a 200 VMax and water starts coming out the "pee" hole within a second or two after starting it using the muffs.
