It's much harder to describe what to do vs someone showing you what to do because much of it is a seat of the pants feel. But what you are doing is watching the bow of the boat when running up on the pad. You'll see/feel it start to drift or fall to one side or the other. As this happens you want to do a slight turn adjustment the opposite direction to keep it from 'falling off the pad'. You are trying to balance the boat on the pad. Also, don't over trim the boat when learning to do this balancing act. That makes it more difficult to control. Start running down the lake with it trimmed down and slowley work the trim up in small increments, not increasing untill you can fully control the chine walk at that trim level. Once you have it under control at that level then bump it up a little more. Lots of seat time and long runs of clean water are what's needed to get the practice time in. Good luck.
