No.. ha ha it's not very proper I don't guess... Now I'm thinking that the transducer being too deep in the water is affecting my images. Anyways I guess I need to quit blaming the unit for now.... The rod is actually very stable, I think the problem must lie with the depth. It's about 2 feet under water right now and that "fog" may be sonar signals coming back around from up top that aren't supposed to be there, because there shouldn't be any water there, I'm thinking now.... But they work right on trolling motors, so it should work on this pole too I would think. It doesn't spin unless I turn it.
