I was in the Navy from 1965-1969 Started out as an Engineman on the USS Towers DDG9 and made two West Pac Cruises before moving to the USS Canberra CAG2 on my last West Pac cruise I saw a PBR (Patrol Boat River) and volunteered for Duty on one of those boats. Went to School for PBR's then to Vietnam in Oct. 1968 started with Riv. Div 535 then was transferred to newly forming Riv. Div. 553 and stayed with that unit until Oct. 1969. Started as an Engineman doing repairs then as Eng. on one of the boats and finally as Capt. of my own boat before I left for home.
Army NG, 24 yrs; Opration Noble Eagle, Operation Endurance Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Humanitarians Missions ; Panama, Costa Rica Honduras, Dominican Republic.

I've been a member of BBC for 4 years and never introduced myself on the Veterans page. I'm retired from the US NAVY, I was a Submariner/Diver, from 1975 -2005. I did 26 years (I know it says 30 years) because I got bored with the military in '79 and got out for 4 years. Then decided I didn't want to work my a$$ off for the rest of my life and went back in for the duration, glad I did...
