Yes, mapping has nothing to do with GPS data. You get Waypoints, Routes, and Tracks with any or no background mapping.

Just noticed the new Great Lakes V4 card has removed Kentucky and Tennessee from the card now. That's a huge step backwards in my mind, does anyone know what they added to the card to offset the loss?

I never understood why they were in the great lakes. Makes sense to me to have them in closer proximity to the South East or Mid South. They are getting more HD sections of the Great Lakes so may have needed more room on the chip or just a better balance of total data between. Bob

That is what autochart live is for. If you have kept up with the updates all you need is a zero lines card. There is much info on autochart in the stickies with mapping or autochart titles.

No, thats not what AC Live is for. You cannot load ArcGIS maps into AC Live.

Autochart or Autochart Pro are what bash needs.

I guess I misunderstood making his own maps with his Helix. ArcGis is another map tool.(I did not research it closer than that) That's why I said "That is what Autochart Live is for". Glad you were able to correct the situation. Bob

Ha anyone picked up the V. 4.0 southeast yet, more specifically anyone in the La/TX border area. Wanting to know if the detail on Toledo and Rayburn has gotten better than it already is.

How can I tell if Oologah Lake near Oologah, Ok. was surveyed by Hummingbird or if they used Public information? I have version 3 of the Mid-South mapping.

There are three levels of maps on a Lakemaster card.
Standard definition is not HD and probably purchased from "other sources" to have more content than Lakemaster owns. Several map companies do that.
High Definition Survey is HD but not data collected by Lakemaster with their own survey teams.
Lakemaster High Definition Survey is HD done by Lakemaster with their own survey teams.

If you look at the lake lists for each region, you can see what your lake is listed as.

I'm buying a boat next week with a Helix 7; fishing Mid-Missouri lakes. How can I tell which lakes are Lakemaster surveyed lakes? Many lakes are HD but I don't think that means they're Lakemaster surveyed. Any Help?

If you download the lake list, the ones that have dark writing with (*) are Lakemaster High Definition Survey.
Dark letters with no (*) are High Definition Survey.

It states that on the list at the top.
