    Features

This will compile all the LakeMaster Lake Lists, Screen Captures and Features in one place for easier viewing. If you have questions start a new thread and we can discuss.

    LakeMaster Exclusive Features:

    Water Level Offest:
Allows you to adjust the Map Contours to match the current Lake Level. Easiest way is to zoom into a contour line and match to your current sonar readings...this will get you real close.

    Shallow Water Highlight (Red)

Shallow Water Highlight allows you color from the bank to the selected depth a Red Color to help you select a hazard depth range or to select an upper range like when hump hunting.

    Depth Highlight (Green):

Depth Highlight Allows you to Highlight a Depth. Like the Depth Range you are looking for fish in or structure at that Depth. It will Highlight this Depth with a Green Line. Using with Depth Highlight Range will color that depth Above and Below that Range.

    Depth Color:
Allows you to change the map colors for depth of the water. Darker Colors are deeper water or you can can turn them off.

    Lake List:
You can search available Lakes by Name or HD Maps. Allows you to quickly go to that lake to look at the contour line data.

    Turn Contour Lines OFF/ON:
You have the ability to view the Maps with Contour Lines on or off. Turning them off allows you to see the INFO Buttons, Roads, Channels and added data easier.

Zoom out the 917c processor was upgraded when it was replaced with the 858c which has a dual processor for these high detailed maps.

USA Please Post Loon Pit Warrick in here so that we can see it's details.

So does anyone own one of the IN/OHIO maps and if so would you be able to post a picture or two of the Indiana Otter Pit Warrick County lake?

I'd love to see what the contour lines look like on that or the Bluegrass Pit Warrick County.

PS: Sorry about the title as it's wrong. It should have been Otter Pit or Bluegrass Pit in the title above. I tried to edit it but the forum won't let me edit the title text after I posted it.

Holy Crap that's a beautify map. Thank you so very much for posting that. You just sold that map to me with those map pictures. I fish these pits all year and was hoping that these maps would be better than the maps that IDNR made and posted on their web site for these pits. Those maps are highly detailed and shows the varying topography of these pits well. That's exactly what all maps should look like. Saying goodby to the Navionics Chip in my computer and saying Hello to the New Lake Master Maps. Those are awsome. Thanks Doug.

The problem I see for anglers interested in Lakemaster map cards is the comapny's penchant for producing lake maps before they are truly finished scanning the lakes in that area. For example, Version 1, 2 and 3 have been put out in the last few months for the same area map. I bought TX/OK Version 1 only a month or so ago and already they have come out with Version 2 that has more lakes and more HD stuff

They keep doing this and anglers who catch on to this will simply quit buying and wait a year or two for them to finalize their work.

Every Mapping Company I know is continually adding new areas and data and has been since I started using maps on my electronics. Version 2 was release before the BASSmaster Classic I know for Texas. Retailers can return the old version to keep the latest version on the shelf to sale customers. But I think the extremely low cost you posted before might have been an indicator that it was not the current version and more studying before purchase. I would contact the retailer you purchased and state they did not sell you the most current version. But may be the reseason for the extreme discounting because they did not want to return for the current version that was already out. I try to post and keep everyone up to date as soon as the New Versions are released for the different regions.

I don't think you will ever see any map company stop adding new data to their products. But not everyone needs the latest data either. If you have the latest data on your lakes there is no need to update so an older version can be acceptable. Just like the Great Plains charts if you fish only Truman Lake Version 2 is good enough because nothing changed for that lake on Version 3. I know several people buying Version 2 Cards for Truman from people updating to Version 3. Both are happy to get the data they need.

    Hey Doug

do you have any screen shots from the Mississippi pools 12 or 13 or something at least farther south then 9. I have 9 on my old chip but was hoping to take a look at some of the new stuff before I run out and buy the new chip. Also do you know how well adjusting the depth works on the river?

    Thanks
    Steve

I just ordered my Lakemaster IN/OH digital map Card from Bass Pro Shops. I should get it in a week or so. Didn't spend any extra money on faster shipping so it may take a few more days for it to arrive. They now have them in stock.

Doug your post with those maps of Bluegrass Pit convinced me to go ahead and buy that Map card. I'll let you all know how it works out and how it helps with my fishing.

I went out yesterday morning late and caught 4 or 5 bass trolling Bandit 200 crank baits in the middle of the lake. The bass were active and hitting the crank bait from between 1.5 mph and 2.0 mph according to my Humminbird 898's gps speed readings. I was using ten pound test line and letting out anywhere from 30 to 50 ft of line. The bass were up in the surface waters and feeding.
