Have a new 1198 and Plains SD card. Will not load. Is it the unit or card? Need trouble shooting help.

Make sure that you are looking at an area of the map that is covered by the map card you have.

Best way to troubleshoot this is to try your mapping card in another Humminbird unit. This can be done with the boat on the trailer (as long as the GPS Receiver has an open view of the satellites) or in the Simulator mode if you want to look at in while inside.

Worked on a second unit, the one it does not work in is networked to a 958 sharing gps. What should I do, thanks

Try Restoring Defaults sometimes that will fix issues

Question for you Doug. On my lakemaster chip I noticed blue dots that I did not enter as a waypoint. Can you tell me what they are? Thanks.

Can you post an image? It's not from Waypoint Declutter Feature being turned on to reduce the waypoints that are close to each other from cluttering the map?

Will do. I have only noticed them on the HD maps.

White Oval Football Shapes are info buttons. Take the 4 Way Cursor and scroll over them and hit the Check Mark (Info) Key and see what it says that will tell you what the icon is, depth, and location. Probably the easiest way to find out what they are.

Found the Blue Dots and they are information about underwater features like stumps, obstructions, etc is what I have found. When you see them.



Move your cursor over the blue dot like this



Then hit the Checkmark or Info Button on the Graph and it will open pop-up with information on that point of interest.

Just received word that NEW SouthEast Region will replace the Alabama, Florida, Georgia card and will INCLUDE Kentucky and Tennessee plus Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi. Kentucky and Tennessee will be on both the SouthEast and Great Lakes Regions.

If you want Kentucky and Tennessee NOW the Great Lakes Region is available...SouthEast Region will announce in January and start production then will arrival in stores after that.

The Tennessee River Lakes in Tennessee are for sure I have seen that data but I would have to see the lakelist or the SouthEast card if they updated the Alabama Data. Won't know that until they release in January. LakeMaster told me about the Dual Coverage so people would not buy the Great Lakes if they really wanted the SouthEast Region Chart.
