I fish. Flaming Gorge Reservoir Utah/WY
Brown Trout, Burbot, Channel Catfish, Crayfish, Kokanee Salmon, Mackinaw (Lake Trout), Rainbow Trout, Smallmouth Bass

Do I need to wait to buy the Lake Master Auto Charts to come out, are will the Western States Lake master work.
follow any depth contour looks good to me.

Thanks. that looks good to me I'm going to buy Lake Master I already have Navionics when I bot my HB 998, Lake Master did not have the westernstates. FLAMING GORGE is a great place to fish people from all over the west come here.

Looks like smart strike does the same thing as my Contour Elite except its on the map card instead of the pc. I have used the Contour Elite a lot and there are pros and cons to this. The best feature i like the best is the 3D unwater contouring where you can see the lake like it been drained and you are standing there.

You are correct. Smart Strike offers some of the features of Contour Elite on the SD Mapping card. So you can search the HD lakes while on the water to find new or additional areas.

your best bet is to map your lake yourself, I hope your home lakes are not to big???

LakeMaster has not release or announced the 2014 Lakes or Additions. I'm not sure where or what will be added but LakeMaster is continually adding new lakes and regions as fast as they can and their goal is nationwide coverage.

You can use Navionics but the Follow the Contour Feature is not not an available with Navionics that is a LakeMaster Exclusive feature.

LakeMaster also has AutoCharts coming in 2014 that will allow you to build custom maps from sonar recordings that also feature the same LakeMaster Exclusive features with the AutoChart Maps.

For you guys fishing st clair on the US side, is the lakemaster map worth it? I fish the lake a ton in the summer and feel I know it pretty well. Am I going to get anything out of this card? I dont have a way to view it since no one in my area has it. Will I gain anything with the erie portion as well. I currently have the regular xd map that comes loaded.

I have't got the NEW Great Lakes Version 2 Card yet but looks like St Clair is now 3' Contours, Detroit River and Erie are 1' Contours on the 2014 Version. HB Chart Great Lakes (MI IN OH KY TN) - Version 2

The map card also has outstanding coverage on these Great Lakes:
Lake Michigan
-All of Lake Michigan in 5ft & 10ft contours.
-Green Bay, Big Bay De Noc, Little Bay De Noc, and Sturgeon Bay in 3ft contours
-Little Traverse Bay, Grand Traverse Bay

I was wondering if anyone has the new LakeMaster chip for Livingston, Tx. LakeMaster says Livingston is non HD and was wondering how good the details were for the lake (timber, roadbeds, contours)?


Also how good are the details for the coast (Trinity Bay, East Bay and Sabine Pass)? Does it show reefs and channel markers along with depth contours?
