    Unhappy

Does anyone know the part number of trolling motor 360 imaging power cable (they call it "additional 3' foot cable for quick disconnect")!

I have two of the power cords listed:

One of them is 490431-1 (XO) 4713

The other is 490431-1 (XO) 3113

I think the 4713 is the "additional"

Wayne, thank you for the reply! The sticker on the cord says 490431-1 (A) 0216
But I couldn't find it anywhere on humminbird site or on the web for sale.
How do you think can I purchase one?

I would think that the numbers at the end are a manufacture date. 4713 would be the 47th week of 2013, 3113 would be the 31st week of 2013 and 0216 would be the 2nd week of 2016. Since no one seems to have them you are going to have to go to Humminbird to get a replacement.

Hello All, New 360 owner and have a quick question - I will try to explain this the best I can...

When using the 360, when the line rotates half of the screen is black until the line passes that spot. In other words its not staying on the screen like some of the screen shots that I have seen. Is there a specific setting that I need to turn on?

Do you have a screenshot? Mine did that and one of the elements in the transducer went bad. Sent it back and its worked perfect since.

Getting ready to set up my new boat. Going to run a Helix 12 upfront hooked to the 360. My question is does it need to be the SI version to run the 360? I really have no need for SI or even DI up front. Hate to spend the extra money on a SI version if its not needed to run the 360.

Any version of the Helix 9, 10, and 12 will support the 360.
The 360 can be used to create Side Imaging on the Sonar and DI versions if you want.

what about 360 imaging on a 859, on the test screen it shows a line for 360 imaging and i have heard if a unit is ehternet compatible it will work, i know it has a smaller screen but i would like to get the 360 and hook it to the 859 for a bit and then upgrade screen size a bit later, anybody out there running a 859 and 360 or is this even possible?

Both versions of the 859 can use the 360. 859ci HD Combo and 859ci HD DI Combo.

If you run the unit in Simulator, you can see all the stuff the unit can do. Turn on all the Views in the View menu and scroll through all of them. The 360 view means you can connect a 360 to it and have 360 Imaging. There are three 360 views. One is full screen 360, one is split screen 360 and 2D sonar, and the other is split screen 360 and Chart.

To get a larger 360 image, use the Forward view like this:

I am ready to run the power cable on my 360 Imaging. I have a separate cord labeled 490431-1(A) that isn't mentioned in the Installation Guide or on the Humminbird site. It has a three-pronged plug that fits the cable that comes directly out of the transducer pod.
QUESTION #1: Does it have the inline 1(A) fuse that the Installation Guide recommends I use. The Installation Guide says that a 1 amp fuse isn't included, but the part number makes mention of 1(A). It doesn't seem to be able to be taken apart to see if it has a fuse. Humminbird is closed for the weekend. This may be a new changed part that Humminbird didn't update the Installation Guide for.
QUESTION #2: What is the third wire on the 490431-1(A) for? There is a red and and two black wires. The red and first black are stripped and ready to be attached to a connector of my choice. The second black wire still has the insulation on. I can't upload a picture.
I'm not too impressed with the instructions in the Installation Guide.:-(
QUESTION #3: I'm running a Motor guide 109 36V and I don't want to pay $100 plus for the reducer to fit the clamp after I have already placed an order for an adaptor cable. Does anyone have any ideas other than duct tape to make the clamp fit the upper shaft.
Thanks for the help ahead of time.

#1. No you provide the fuse/holder--spade type is recommended. The power should also be switched so the 360 does not run your battery down being powered all the time.

#2. The transducer has two cords that don't connect directly to any device--they are 8' long.
One is the power cord that the power cable collects to. You connect the power cable (6' long) to the power source with a fuse on the positive wire. READ the instructions that describes the drain wire-- it is not used.
The other is the Ethernet cord that the 20' Ethernet cable connects to. I used a shorter Ethernet cable since I connect directly to the bow unit.

#3. The shaft clamp is designed to fit the upper shaft of a Minnkota foot control cable steer motor. Johnson Outdoors owns Minnkota and Humminbird--their stuff fits their stuff. It will also fit the new X5 Motor Guide.
You will have to invent your own solution for the shaft size difference or purchase the Transducer Shield and Saver adapter.

    I got the TS&S adapter:

Guys, why should I mount HS GPS antenna as close to the bow 360 as I can? What will happen If I mount it close to the transom? As far as I can see it is only used by 360 to determine the direction the boat is pointing.
Just tying to find out if I need one more antenna (for the bow and fo the console).

When you create a waypoint, it is the location of the GPS antenna, not the location of the transducer. Waypoints are GPS data not sonar data.

The Heading Sensor is not GPS, it is a compass. The AS GPS HS antenna is both a GPS antenna and a compass (heading sensor).

I want to install bow 360, have a 998 SI on console with splitter to 2D shoot thru, have Helix 9 DI on on bow running off bottom of MK Fortrex. TM has the US 2 built in...can I just purchase another Helix 10 sonar/gps unit and just connect 360 to it for display and run US 2 for the 2D or do I need a Helix SI unit to run directly from 360. I have 998 and Helix 9 networked and realize I need a switch if I want to network all.
