Ok, getting very close. I am picking up a Helix 12 GN2 Mega SI to do all my sounding. I want to add a high speed 2D ducer. I have an AS SI DB Y, but think I need instead is a 9M SI DB-Y (part # 720101-1) Am I correct?

So many cables and not sure what the difference is. Someplace I think I read the MEGA has 1 more pin, but not sure.

Yes, the Helix MEGA SI transducer has a dedicated Down Imaging crystal and needs the extra circuit for it.

The AS SIDB Y cable doesn't have that extra circuit. It just as left side SI, right side SI, 2D, Temp, and common negative.

Thanks again guys. It's all the little details that I struggle with. Somewhere I read it had one more pin, but didn't know why.

What cable(s) would I need to link 10 inch g2n mega si helix at the console to a 10 inch g2n mega di helix at the bow? Just going with transom mount si transducer on console unit and trolling motor mount on bow. Haven’t ordered yet and wanted to know what I needed above what comes with the units. Thanks.

Each unit needs an Ethernet adapter to connect an Ethernet cable to them---AS EC QDE.
Then you need an Ethernet cable to go between them---AS EC 20E is the 20' version.

The bow DI unit comes with a transom transducer and you should use a trolling motor puck instead. Exchange via Customer Service for the XTM 9 MDI T.

    Hello Sirs;

Could I see Side imaging from dash unit on a DI unit at Trolling Motor (both G2N) through networking ?

I've readed a lot of post but still get doubting about it...

    Many thanks in advance.

    Yes
Any version of G2N will share any sonar technology from any other G2N version.
You can have any mix of the models you want and see all sonar technologies on all of them.
Just need at least one unit that has the sonar technology to share to the others.

    Many thanks Wayne !!!

Here in Spain people says that you can't see with you DI unit side imaging from SI unit just because DI unit doesn't have this tecnology so can't support it...

Do you know if there are some video on the net just for show them...

    Many thanks in advance again...

Do not know of any videos.
The cross-sharing of sonar technologies has been a Humminbird feature since the first software update with the last series of units with number names like----999ci HD SI Combo, 959ci HD Combo, 959ci HD DI Combo.

I don't have a video of it, but I've seen me do it on my last boat.

Current boat has a Helix 10 SI Mega and a Helix 10 GPS on the console, and a Gelix 10 GPS on the bow. There is not a single doubt in my mind that I will be able to see the imaging from the rear transducer on all three graphs across the network. If I thought for a minute that I wouldn't be able to do it, I would have purchased different units.

Tell your friends to sign up for an account here and we'll set them straight.

Or, you can order a pair of Helix units and show them. :)

Another thing that can be shared is the 360. Any Ethernet capable unit can share the 360.

This is a Helix 12 SI GPS, ONIX 10 SI, and SOLIX 12 MEGA SI sharing by bow 360:

I have an ultrex and want to mount a mega chirp g2n Si transducer on the trolling motor.

Are there any adapter plates for this?

I have a Solix 12 and an Onix 10 CIT (no transducer currently connected to the Onix) at my console, and a Solix 15 and Ultrex Ipilot on my bow, all networked through an Ethernet switch. . I want to install a shoot through transducer so I can have depth while on plane. Which is the better method/option?

    A) Use the 14 MSIDB "Y" adapter with a XP 14 20 or XP 14 20T shoot through transducer, hooked up through the Solix 12? or......
    B) Install the XP 14 20 or XP 14 20T transducer and connect direct to Onix 10 CIT

    I already have the 14 MSIDY "Y" cable, and a XP 14 20 transducer.

I had a similar set up on my Z18 with (2) Helix 10 G2N's on the console. I used the "Y" cable and connected it to the Helix Mega G2N. Worked well, but these Solix's are a whole different animal. Not sure what works best.

There is no difference in installation and function of transducers between Helix and SOLIX units. The SOLIX and ONIX transducers have 14 pin connections and the Helix has 7 pin connections.

Thanks Wayne. My question is should I connect the shoot through transducer to the Solix via a "Y" cable or connect it to the Onix?
