You think i need to run at least one more set of wires from bow to battery just for the 360?
Every install I do goes from the battery to a dedicated fuse panel (Blue Sea 5025). I place the fuse panel under the console and hook everything to that one fuse panel. The 360 needs to run through a switch so it can be turned off when not in use.

Until everything is wired straight to battery it's a crap shoot as to any issues.

I have a question on sonar installation, I have an XNT 9DI T Ducer on the boat (tin) right now, I plan on getting a Helix 12 SI, can I use a splitter cable AS SIDB Y to connect both so 2D only goes thru the XNT 9DI T? If so, can they be close together as long as the SI ducer is lower and has clear view left and right? Somehow I think so.

Yes, BUT if you are going to have the SI transducer lower, you don't need to use another transducer for 2D.

What I was thinking is my current DI Ducer is set for high speeds currently, and since DI and SI are for low speed, I would place the SI Ducer lower on the "V" hull but yet higher than the bottom of the boat. Kind of what you guys do with a stepped hull. Remember, I have tin boat (20' Lund Pro Guide).

Yes that makes sense if the SI transducer will be above the hull bottom with no water contact when on plane.

What is the best console mount for a 1100 series unit? RAM mount or something else? Which mount gives the least vibration and movement while on plane for reading the unit?

Is it better to use the puck shoot thrust hull transducer or the transom skimmer for high speed readings on a 1999 triton tr20? Also where would be the best place to install the transducers?

The proper installation for 2D sonar with that hull is a shoot-thru.

The "best" place is the where you find the best performance when you do the on-the-water testing BEFORE you attach the transducer to the hull.

Thanks Wayne I will now order the shoot thru hull transducer and try to find the best spot. There was an old Lowrance puck there but it lost readings all the time so I removed it. I just purchased the HB 899ci si unit and plan on using it at the bow and console on a ram mount.

You do know that you still have to put the SI transducer on the transom and use the XP 9 20 transducer in the bilge ?????

I plan on installing the si transducer on the trolling motor only and just use the 2d sonar for driving around for now.

Change the Connected Transducer setting to Dual Beam when at the console.

If you did not exchange the included transducer for the HDSI version, change the Connected Transducer setting back to Compact Sidescan when at the bow.
If you did exchange the transducer for the HDSI, use the Hi-Def Sidescan setting at the bow.

Has anyone installed a SI transducer on a 354v without a jackplate? Looking for best options for mounting
