    Doug,

Thanks for this post. I'm a new user to using graphs. Sometimes I have to go back to the factory setting and start over. This is good start for me, I took a snap shot of the screen with my cellphone and keep it handy.

    Doug, good video.
Do you no if an airmar TM-150m transducer will work with a Helix12 2d unit?

I would call Humminbird Customer Service they can answer that question. 800-633-1468. AirMar shows for Humminbird but since I have not used an airmar transducer on HELIX 12 I do not know that answer. http://www.airmartechnology.com/2009...anf=Humminbird

Call Airmar and choose technical support. The owner of the company answered when I called and you can get an answer from the "horses mouth".

We had an hour long conversation about chirp and fishing in less than 100ft of water.

Thanks. I had already called humminbird. They told me to call airmar. I didn't see airmar phone number on there website, but I didn't click technical support.

The data is crude measurements with a ruler, not a micrometer for the Helix models. Other units are using measurements from others.

Are the videos still up to date with Mega imaging and 800kHz 455?

The technology has not changed, just another frequency range added. 455kHz and 800 kHz are CHIRPed also

At the 12 minute mark, it shows the split screen with 83Khz on one side & 200Khz on the other side. I have that split screen set as one of my programmed 'Views' on my 1199 unit. To properly utilize that 200/83 split screen, can I leave my sonar at 200Khz in my sonar settings? Or do I need to have 200/83 selected when viewing the 200/83 split screen?

I leave my unit at 200Khz most of the time and it sure would be nice if the unit automatically switches the frequencies when viewing the 200/83 split screen.

    Thanks in advance.

The frequency setting is what you want to display on the Sonar view.
83 kHz is not turned on unless you select 83/200 kHz or 83 kHz. 200 kHz broadcasts all the time regardless of what you select to view since it provides the Depth readout.

Split screen 2D sonar turns 83 kHz on and shows that on one side and 200 kHz on the other side so it makes no difference what your setting is, you get both displayed independently.

That is what I was hoping to hear. Thanks Wayne.
