kyle, have you had the thought that your problems are a result of your installation instead of a unit problem? If the unit is tested at the factory and it works fine there and doesn't for you. Here is your sign !!!!!

My 958 came on my boat Sept 2010. It went out last month, would not power up. Shipped it on Friday July 1st. Got it back Tuesday the 12th (total of 5 working days) I live in Eat Tenn so it took 2 days UPS each way. I can't ask for any better than that.

If so, how?

Thought it was a simple question from a guy that has bought his 5th Hb product...
(the 898)...my bow 570 is a tight fit now and I wanted to upgrade to the 597CI...8 by 8 by 8 is the 570 spec size...mainly, would the upgrade fit (or what upgrades with a GPS/color would fit) and work with the US2 or do I need to get another ducer or not with the upgrade?
i have a new 596 down imaging. i have read alot of guys having trouble with the depth bouncing around in shallower water. Mine does as well so while in the middle of the lake i called HB waited all of 3 min and i had someone on the phone, in the next ten minutes we figured out what could be the problem and she was sending my some in line wire part for free. Total time on the phone with HB was less then 15 min.
i was very happy and happy to get the problem figured out
well i sent mine in a couple weeks ago and have heard nothing if they got it or if it is fixed or if it is on the way back.
not impressed at all.
the quality is not what i would expect and the service is not what everyone says it is.

15 to 20 mins for repairs plus 4.5 hrs round trip. Walked in at 10:00 am and was on my way before 10:30 am that's after buying a hat or 2 and bath room break. They brought the unit out and had us to check it out on their power supply to make sure the problem was fixed by them and that we didn't have any other problems. HB CS cann't be beat You won't get that kind of service from brand X any more.
sent in a transducer for exchange, they said it would be a 5 day turn around, tomorrow will be three weeks. I called and they send it will go out tomorrow, that was last thursday, Sent an email yesterday, finally got a straight answer, item is on back order and will ship on friday. Customer service was great, they were all very friendly even though they were uninformed .
here is my story.i have a 798c that i bought new off ebay and it was registered in January of 2011.i was running down the lake this past Saturday and i noticed that my graph was not reading correct so i stopped to see if i could see something wrong.i got on the back deck and saw the cable to the transducer was jerked into.nothing i could do so i went fishing.when i got boat back on the trailer i looked at the place where the ducer was mounted or used to be.the half that mounts to the boat is still there but the other half was gone including the ducer.(bottom of the lake.)i just got off the phone with customer support and was not happy with what they said.they said it it had quit working it would be covered but not like this.i sure don't think it is my fault that their mount came a part.if this is how their great service work then i dont ever want another one and i will give them hell ever chance i get.
