Humminbird Screen Captures from 20' to 30'

We get asked alot for images from different water depths and structure types. To help other see the benefits and user results of the different depth ranges and structure type lets start threads on different conditions to show how the Humminbird Performs. We will start a Master Thread and then we can link these different Depths and Structure Type Images to those threads to help others.

This thread will will be for Side Imaging in the 20' to 30' Range of Any Structure.

If you have settings information or can help describe the image please share that too.

    SCUBA diver during SAR operation.
Default settings mostly with Enhance Sharpness at Med due to subject matter. Screen scroll speed 2 settings higher than GPS speed to enlarge anticipted returns.

Are those air bubbles coming out from behind the diver? That's a neat picture. I can see the two legs and his fins. Hope you had your diver's flag out hehe.

Yes. that is two air "puffs" behind the diver. I have a few more of the diver at other angles that the air bubbles cover all or most of him.
Evidently in that cold water, a diver breathes more often so his location is easy to follow. The water was so muddy (-2" visiblity) that their search had involved putting down two weighted bouys with a rope between them to follow as they felt along the bottom.
Additionally the local area SAR dive instructor was watching my bow unit during the search and he was the one that took that snapshot. I was at the console with my other unit on a different range setting.

Trolling motor mounted transducer--electric only lake
Weed bed on the left, stump/log/brush pile, lake construction vehicle tracks on the right.
Turned the trolling motor 180 for a few seconds to slow down as I was approaching the brush pile waypoint--blurr in middle of weed bed.

That's a Great Image and shows the Benefit of SI on the Trolling Motor. You wouldn't get to see all that data with DI or 2D.

Because it was deeper than the depth of water. This Video may help you better understand SI
