Humminbird Screen Captures from 0' to 10'

We get asked alot for images from different water depths and structure types. To help other see the benefits and user results of the different depth ranges and structure type lets start threads on different conditions to show how the Humminbird Performs. We will start a Master Thread and then we can link these different Depths and Structure Type Images to those threads to help others.

This thread will will be for Side Imaging in the 0' to 10' Range of Any Structure.

If you have settings information or can help describe the image please share that too.

Screencapture #14 on my 997 in Mar of 08, second trip on the water. This shot really opened my eyes to the power of SI for finding fish. Note how the fish on the right are skirting away from the boat going over the top of them!

Zoomed out from 70 to 100 feet to see how big this school of walleyes really was.

Zoomed out to 150 feet to show how hard fish are to spot at that range.

    .04 eyes.

From Saturday. Note the bars on the right side. These are interference from the 1197 on the dash. This is from my 997 on the bow.

Another shallow water shot from Saturday.

Re: Humminbird Screen Captures from 0' to 10' (bobxxx)

That means that someone's outboard motor skep was being dragged along the bottom in that area. That is an example of not being aware of the water depth.

Re: Humminbird Screen Captures from 0' to 10' (Wayne P.)

The Skeg is the bottom of the outboard's lower unit. If running in shallow water the skeg will plow thru the mud but that concrete block was not no good! Look at this image below it shows a replacement Skeg Guard for those that damage the skeg...it's silver colored.

Christmas trees on left casting the long shadows. You could barely see the tops of the trees above water surface. Sharpness on Low...
