Okay guys, I have not done my homework and my 798 is still set basically on factory settings. What is this? I was passing the front of a dock on Lake of the Ozarks and noticed this on the screen. Any ideas what this is?

Looks like my rectal examination.....sorry
I'm just learning myself, but....
Judging that it was in front of a dock, I would guess a brush pile or some kind of man made fish habitat. You were going pretty slow, and I'm not sure how that would affect the overall picture.

Since I was going slowly (on TM easing around corner of a dock while fishing), I thought maybe this was a fish or two moving to feed. Appears to be some bait fishin the area. Thoughts?
Looks like the metal roof frame that was once over the top of a covered dock. This dock wasn't one that collapsed under that snow/ice storm several years ago, was it?

Not that I know of. Looked like a pretty new dock in an area that was all new.
Kinda looks like a railing off of some steps

Cables give an image similar to that.
So many honey-dos . . . . . so little motivation
I'm pretty new at this too, but (and don't laugh too hard) it looks like someone threw in their child's swing and slide set. Just a thought !
Some type of metal by the strength of returns would love to see in SI to get a better perspective than a top down view.

I'll try to go back this weekend and see if I can get a side image of this same thing.

thats my best guess also
I understand what you're saying Doug about the very bright white spots on the left sloped line (likely something very hard). I never got back to that dock to follow through with your recommendation of SI and DI. But what I can tell you is that I've seen something similar on the screen probably 20 times more as I pass around docks all over the lake. I'm becoming more and more convinced that, at this very low speed it's a large fish moving/feeding each time I see it. One of these days I'll pause my fishing and do the SI on it. Sure is weird since I've seen it so many times in so many locations, but always around a dock.
Ive got it...Its a swingset...if you look you can see the ladder rungs on the slide. It must be going away from you at an angle which is why you cant see the middle frame and can see the full slide...Still wanna see it with SI
OOPS didnt see the post above...I agree with flattman its a childs swing and slide set..
