Just a little tip that I thought would be helpful

I was tired of wasting my rejuvinade or release me in my livewell. The directions say put one ounce per 15 gallons of water and I was always just shaking the stuff into the livewell thinking that it was an ounce. well one day I decided to measure what an ounce was and I really was putting way too much in the livewell. So this is what I did...I went to Walgreens went to the medicine area and picked up some little pill bags that close with the ziplock. I think I got 50 of the pill bags for $2.00 or so. Went home and measured out one ounce of additive and placed it in the bag and sealed it up. Now when I add some additive I just grab the little baggie open it up and pour the correct amount in. If another boat needed some it is alot easier to give them a few bags instead of your whole container. Just a quick little tip that I wanted to share.

Great tip, what I did was, two 2 liters frozen 3/4 full, almost a lid full or cap, poured it in, rewater and freeze, ( I do this for my boat), pop the top and leter drain. I'll end up doing your trick for other boats, good idea.

Just to add something real quick...an ounce is approx. 2 tablespoons actually a little less than 2 tablespoons. I used a shot glass that had the ounces on it and measured that way and just poured it into the little pill bags.

should you add an ounce by weight or volume? your way of measuring it by a shoot glass is by volume, not weight.

does the bottle specify if it should be weight or volume?

i'm guilty of the same thing - just pouring some in the livewell straight from the bottle. guess i need to read my label and get better measurements.

On my bottle is says to just add a LEVEL cap full per 10 (I think it is 10?) gallons of water. That's what I do. It also recommends putting it in and activating it before the fish are added to the livewell. That is usually the first thing I do when my boat hits the water for a tournament. At this time of year I also add ICE to cool the water, to help the fish also.

I went to the local feed store or you can get one at a drug store, it cost me 50 cents. I use a syringe that has ounces on the side and it works perfect..... Just thought I would jump in and let you know what I use..
