Re: Pics of your "toys" (wbones9)

    Here's mine from Down Under.

Tow rig is a Holden Commodore SS V Ute. 6.0litre LS2 with 6 speed auto 19" Wheels IRS LSD ABS Leather Exhaust Mods and Inlet Mods. Gets around 30mpg on the Highway and goes very nicely.

My Toy started life as a 1933 Chev Australian bodied 1 1/2 ton truck. It's had a 2" Chop and a 5" Channel over a 1934 Chev Master chassis. The doors are off the Master and have been suicided. The square rear of the roof was cut out and the rounded roof and bigger rear window off the Master fitted. The front end is a hand made cross member with XJ6 Jaguar Mk II suspension and brakes with 4 spot calipers. The rear is a Gallaxy 9" 3.0:1 with Drum brakes. Rear suspension is Leaf Springs. The motor is a 1985 Camaro 305 small block with a 600 Holley Street Avenger and Mallory HEI dissy. A kitted Turbo 350 gearbox sorts the gears out. The extractors can be unplugged, but we gotta run mufflers down here. The guards are the only fibreglass on it. They were moulded off and Indian motorbike and widened to suit the 8" rear and 6" front wheels. (Maximum legal width down here.) Interior is pretty basic with the rear seat from a Toyota Hilux and the original Steering wheel painted pearl and fitted to a collapsible column. There is still heaps of work to go but we have fun with it as it is. It's covered about 10000 miles in the last 2 years, so has plenty of stone chips as trophies.

Thanks Mark for the comment! The truck was Blue and white with a blue interior when i got it.It was also totaled with no motor or trans.Built it ground up and the vett has a little over 300,000 miles on it!! All the drivetrain is gone thru and i still need to do the paint and bodywork and just a couple of things on the interior. It is a 375c.i. small block,Dart heads and block, pump gas with F.A.S.T. fuel injection, custom roller cam,and turbo 400 trans. As you can tell that is my other hobby!!

HAHA my Dad used to have the exact same truck. we also just refered to it as the
"brown truck". After over 500,000 km and an un-countable number of trips to the lake we parked it for good.
