Power Pole installation w/Jackplate adapter plate (pic heavy)

I loosened the bolts holding motor to jackplate on drivers side and removed to install plate.

Loose plate on other side and install spacer, you may need a line up tools to move motor up and down.

Retighten motor bolts to factory torque. Mount Powerpole to bracket.

    Mount hydraulic pump bracket.

    Mount hydraulic pump.

Connect lower end of hydraulic ram.

Drilled 2 holes for hydraulic lines. Used supplied bushing in holes. Ran lines into bilge of boat.

    Connect lines to pump.

    Connect lines to hydraulic ram.

Secure blue line to ram using wire ties.

Install electrical components. I have the remote installed.

Make electical connections per instructions, fill hydraulic pump with fluid and follow instructions to purge air from lines. Add more fluid if necessary and you're done.

I did this in about 4 hours, could probably do another one in about 2.5 hours. I spent a good deal of time deciding how I wanted to mount components.

I tried to detail as much as possible since so many people have asked about how hard they are to install. follow the instructions that come with it and think it out first. Most people will have no problems.

Re: Power Pole installation w/Jackplate adapter plate (PowerPoleTech)

Looks good I would like to know if there was decent pricing on them too. Does anyone know if they do different colors on the jackplate mounts? If I wanted it red, blue, yellow, or something

Re: Power Pole installation w/Jackplate adapter plate (Breck)

    Breck,
We offer the adapter plates in black and white. We do however offer custom colors for the Power-Poles so I dont see why we couldnt make it happen for the adapter plates as well.

Re: Power Pole installation w/Jackplate adapter plate (PowerPoleTech)

Does it make a difference if the Jackplate adapter plate is mounted between the engine and the jack plate, or why not just mount it on the outside of the motor mount plate, and not bother with the spacer on the other side?

Also wanted to note, our side mount adapter plates work with the Z-Lock jack plates. Not that there is anything wrong with the motor mount, you do have the option of a side mount bracket if you do not have the capability to remove the outboard like so.
