Nice work
Chris, or anyone with a Merc Pro-XS ... could you please post a close up photo showing the hydraulic line routing? Specifically, how the hydraulic lines exit the boat. Do you go through the transom, or punch a hole through the conduit that runs between the transom and the outboard? I have a 250 Pro-XS, and the conduit is a vinyl or similar material that is waterproof. If I punch a hole to run the hydraulic lines out of the conduit, then I will create a path for water to enter the boat through the conduit. Thanks!
Looked at the pictures Chris posted one more time. I see the ansewer to my question there ... hydraulic lines routed through hull.
How did you support the motor when you removed the engine bolts to mount the adaptor plate?
Post is from 8 years ago, why not sidemount to your z lock much better way to mount.( 10 min or less and your adapter plates are on and no need to remove motor jackplate from transom etc.. If you do need to support your motor if you insist on going with a sandwich mount you can do so with an automotive engine crane, chain hoist if you have beams to support the weight etc...
I have a CMC Power Lift 5 1/2" manual jackplate mounted on my Astro. Pretty sure it's the original that came on the boat. Is there a side mount option for power poles or do I have to get a sandwich bracket?
Sandwich, you can not sidemount to a cmc unfortunatly
