HOLY CRAP! You've got your work cut out for you, but I look forward to seeing the final project. I would love to try a restore project, but I don't have the room or the tools to tackle such a huge project. Best of luck!

Re: The start of my Skeeter 175 Starfire restore (omcforever)

Took all the stuff out/tank/lids/removed wiring/cut out around console and rod boxe since the where glassed into the floor/removed all rivets holding the 2 halves together with a 1/4 drill bit(drill out heads and punched them out)/cut top of transom to access the bondo goop they used to glue spalsh well to transom/cut it out with a skinny chisel.........

Then I rigged 2 come a longs to lift/used 2 2X4 to put between rails to keep top from flexing inward while lifting and keeping it from flexing much.......

More to come in a few days,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

did the boat come with the beer cans or did you add them while taking it apart?
beer works great for the demo and sanding days, not so good when glassing or cutting out new wood peices Looks like your on your way to a cool renewed boat

are you incapsulating the stringer with glass or did you just tab it in?

    Re: (bassmannbama)

Used 2 part floatation foam from US Composites....Great stuff spray foam WILL absorb water like a sponge. Do not use spray insulation foam from Home Depot or Lowes...

Original where just spot tabbed in and left many places for water migration. Then the whole area was painted with black jel coat after sealed with resin....
