Re: I replaced my carpeted plywood wheel skirts on my trailer with ... (tjonas1)

I just asked for Mark Miller and let him pick the best material for my needs. I'm not sure what the material was called. I threw away the receipt.

Still like new on my trailer, and no marks on my white hull.... Bump for those that asked.

Rehabbing my trailer. Gonna use this for fenders too and gatorbak for bunk material and rid trailer of carpet and reduce moisture once in garage.

I did mine with 1/2" AZEK found at Home Depot then I put carpet on mine with Dap Weldwood Cement, also made them higher than my fenders so my boat won't contact my powder coated fenders.

Mike, how did you go about cutting them to size? Your cuts look very clean.

I laid my fender on the material and traced the shape. I used a socket with a sharpie marker inside the hole to give me the perfect amount of material that I wanted sticking above my fenders. I just used a simple jig saw, Cuts and drills like butter. I also used a file to knock off the corners.

Thanks for the explanation. This upgrade will be in my future. Tired of the rotten wood and dirty carpet.

I did this 6-7 years ago... Plastic is an oil product and price increase is no surprise. I think your skirting is bigger than mine was too. Post some finished pics for us to see.
