1991 Ranger 374V... Can I make the rod locker bigger?

Instead of spending my life savings and buying a new boat, I decided to pay off all of my debt. That being said, I'm going to be keeping my 374V and restoring it.

The one thing I REALLY don't like with this boat is the rod locker size. Is there any way to make it bigger? I'm not scared of fiberglass work, and plan on replacing all of the decking and carpeting anyways.

I did this in my 81' 375V. I used a hole saw (about 2") to knock the ends out while standing on my head in the rod lockers. I then cut out a hole for the new recessed trolling motor tray (good reason to add one, once you have one you'll never go back, trust me, I haven't installed one on my new cobra yet). You need this access and hole to clean the floatation foam out. Then you're good to go all the way up to 8 1/2' rods. Just use rod socks.
