Would use the Rhino Liner or Line X for the trailer. I like the look of Line X in truck beds more than I do th Rhino Liner.

Re: 89 Basscat Pantera II Project "UPDATE"

Well I got the boat in the air and the trailer at Line X, I should get it back tomorrow. I had the jackplate powder coated and seats came in along with some other goodies. I am wet sanding the bottom while at LineX. Just repainted the fenders yellow and LineX too. Anyway here are some pics of the progress.

Re: 89 Basscat Pantera II Project "UPDATE" (ranger230v)

Just got the trailer back from LineX. 175 for the sandblasting and 350 for the liner, so I thought this was a very cheap upgrade!! I'll try to get the trailer back together this weekend and I'll post more pics.

Are you going to use the original wheels or go with something aftermarket?

Re: 89 Basscat Pantera II Project "UPDATE" (Prowler59)

Well, I got the trailer done for the most part. Waiting on bow rollers, winch and trailer jack. Almost got the bottom done still compounding and buffing. Hope to have it back on the trailer this week.
    Here are some more pic's.

Love the way your trailer came out. The yellow fenders with the black anti-slip was a touch of genius!!!

    Lookin' great.

I might use that same idea on my trailer. I just won't be able to do it the same time as the boat....I'll have to do it later next year.

Just awesome! Great work. Whats the best way to hang the boat in the air? Im about to put a paint job on my boat and would love some info. Thanks for any bit of help!

Re: 89 Basscat Pantera II Project "UPDATE" (g352nv)

I was lucky and own a forklift and a 1000lbs crank-up! I used straps and ran them through the back tie downs and used a strap through the bow eye and used the crank-up for the front.

Just put the crank-up on the front and raised it to clear the trailer and used the forklift to lift the back, slid the front out over the trailer as far as we could go and then slid the trailer over to clear the front crank-up and used my Rino to pull the trailer out from under it. Took less than five minutes.

I think you can rent crank-ups, but I think two engine hoists would work too. The crank-up just allowed me to get the boat up high enough to walk under it and was easier to compound and buff under it

Shoot me an IM if you got any ? and I'll help the best I can.
