Hope that you have some time on the boat now . With changing the color how is the New Gel coat holding up?

My friends have been in it more than me, but it is holding up just fine. I loved restoring it, but its all doneIts in the way right now and I have thought about selling it to make room for the new resto's I am working on now. I just love restoring these cats, but once their done I just want to move on to the next one.
Well I picked up a 86 Pantre last night Some one did repaint about 5 yrs ago . And its still pertty nice It started out Black and red they painted it a baby blue . The boat seems to be soild just a soft spot by the drain. I think that I am going to rerig it .for now and the see if I like the boat . Then my try to go back to the stock colors Will try to post a pic of the 400 dollar boat

Totalbeverage got a question for you on the pinstriping. Looks like you roughed it up then taped it off and shot the pinstripes. Then taped off the pinstripes and primed/white gelcoat. My question is did you do anything special when it came to bonding the white gel with the pinstripes? Did you tape back a little farther so the white gel covered the edge of the yellow then just sand it out?

What did you put down for primer over the old gelcoat? Can you tell me a little about the gun you use and what tip size you like, and what pressure works for you?

The easiest way is to get the new touch pad from Basscat, made it really simple to rewire.
