WOW! You really did it! I am amazed at the gusto of some guys and their love for their boats!
Call me nuts... every boat has a heart beat. If I can't feel the heart beat of a boat when I look at it or place my hands on it... then the boat is truely dead. Your boat had plenty of life in it... it just needed a lot of TLC!

What is the red coating seen under where the sole used to be and in the bilge? Seems like some type of waterproofing or sealing attempt. I'd like to reseal everything up when I'm done and want to use something that has the capability to fill in and seal any small gaps or pinholes. What is the red coating and what should I use?
Man, I gotta hand it to ya, that's awhole lot'a work, way more than I'd ever think about jumping into. Your one hell'va guy for taken it on, and your progress has been nothing short of excellent.
