These are pictures of a repair job to the live wells of an 1988 20' Storm bass boat. The areas above the live wells where the seat base attaches is one of the areas know to be prone to wood rot. The area above the live well, between the stringer and bulkhead is removed. The inside of the live wells are re-gel coated. Resin coated 1" x 2" are then attached to the top perimeter of the live well.
A piece of composite is cut to fit the opening and attached. The composite is bedded in 5200 and SS screws are used to secure it to the resin coated 1" x 2"s.
The area around the cut line is puttied in.
The surface is then glassed over with 1708.
The aluminum lid is is installed and the repair is complete.
