I've done 1 transom rebuild and if I have anything to do with it will NEVER do that again.

    Day 5 pictures

    Transom all done

I was planning on putting the boat back together after replacing the transom, but it now seems to be a good time to do a refurbish on the boat. New paint on boat and trailer, new carpet, rewire and replace pumps.

I'll post more pictures as I go.

looks good. is the razor a flip[copy] of a storm or an allison. i was looking at your web page and the lines of the hull on the razor look a lot like a storm.the cap dosent but the hull lines do look like a dead ringer, even the stance the boat has in the water is the same as a storm.

Re: 1983 STORM transom replacement (jrstorm)

The Razor is the Micco hull that Burt Crowell build after he sold Storm to Steve Lake in 1990. The cap, deck and console is my design. I bought the Micco mold right after the Kornmeiers sold Storm to Brad in 2006. Being that I worked for Storm for 10 years, the Micco was a smart move on my part. Its like building the 20' Storm except it is 5" wider. I changed a few things about the hull. 2 of the changes are noticeable, the others are not. I rounded off the sponsons and raised the area of the transom, next to the motor, about 7 1/2" to stop the back wash from coming over the transom.

I've tried to locate him. Some people say he is in Ft. Meyers, others say the Kissimmee/Orlando area. I don't know, but I hope he is doing good!!!!! He knew about boats, no doubt about it!.
