Deck extension / flipping deck for 91 Pantera II

Does anybody have any ideas or thoughts on building an extension for my 91 Pantera II? I really need to fill thast gap.

I built one for my 361v. It was simple. I didnt worry about making it water tight and all that stuff because I was keeping it stored inside.

Process is pretty simple. Probably the easiest thing to do is to take a cardboard template of the area you're wanting to fill. Then cut it to size and transfer that cutout onto your plywood or whatever you use. It took me a couple of hours and over a few to build mine and then just a little more time to sand some edges to get it to fit just the way I wanted. I held it in with velcro so that it wasnt attached to the boat.

I went ahead and made one. Didn't have any to drink but it looks like I did. I am no carpenter by any means. When my daughter shows me how to put the pics on I will post the end results. I used 3/4 inch treated plywood. This stuffs heavy but it didf the job and I have all dimensions written down and am looking for a better, lighter material to use. Total cost was about $74.00 not including labor (3.5 hrs).
The only problem is that it shows how much I really need to recarpet the rest of the boat. Thanks again for the help.
