    Filing a claim?

I recently went fishing and at the end of the day I pulled my boat into a slip and tied it up and went and weighed my fish in and got the truck. When I got back to my boat someone had pulled next to me in an old pontoon boat and pulled so close that it was resting on the side of my boat and everytime a wake would come it was scratching my boat. Well I never found the owners, probably because they saw what happened and didn't want to own up to it. But now I have several DEEP scratches on the side of my boat that are going to be fairly expensive to get fixed because a couple are in the metal flake. Is this something that I could claim under my insurance? I know it depends on the policy, but under a normal policy would this be covered? I am going to check with my insurance company and see but was wanting to get another opinion on it. I have State Farm. Thanks
    Nathan
