    Re: Concordia Reports (barchief)

Hey Cory, went to Concordia 1-19 and didn't have much luck. Water temp was around 50. It was hard to fish with the wind blowing about 20mph but caught a few smaller bass and a couple nice hybrid stripers. It was a rough day of fishig but I'm planning on going back Tuesday 1-24. Looking at the forcast low's in the mid 30's and highs in the mid to upper 50's..

Javelin Jay, I had a friend of mine go to Concordia last Sat. for a Big Bass Tourney. He won Big Bass of the day with a 6 pounder, and one of the weigh-ins, and came home with $470.00. He said his total for the day was 4 fish at 15.5 lbs. After 9:30AM he did not get bit.

Black/Red tube jigs, 3/16 bullet pegged, flipping trees. Most people were throwing jigs(5 poles 5 different color jigs). The word is Senkos but it was to windy to throw that last week-end.

It wasn't windy at all on Concordia last weekend.. in fact, it was beautiful.... I saw that guy haul in that 6 pounder.. she was pretty. One of the guy sin my club caught one that went 6.48 but we were up there for a club tourney, not the big bass tourney. I threw Senko's all weekend long and caught fish pretty much all weekend long.

Lake Concordia isn't over fished, although in the spring, the North flats get hammered hard Been fishing the lake for over 20 years now (live about 5 miles away) early Feb. thru early March are peek times for the 3-5 foot bite on Concordia. Good luck

    Re: (jigslinger)

Went to concodia Friday and Saturday morn. Weather was good, hot as heck and humid, started fishing around 5:30 friday morning and caught 12 in about 4 hours, after 10:00 am the fish quit biting, only caught 1 that evening, fished a little around midnight but didn't even get a bite, went out sat morning got a late start, overslept till 6:30, we caught 6 and left at 10:00, all the fishe we caught were between 1 1/2 lbs to 3 1/2 lbs, caught them most of them on a white and chartreuse spinner bait up on the bank around the cypress trees and walls, fished from the big blue hole back fishing between the piers. Heard they were tearing the catfish up also straight across from sportsmans lodge
