    Cedar Creek Reports

Ok after not doing to well on Cumberland decided to hit Cedar Creek on the 19th. I found a ton of fish stacked up in the trees near some spawning flats. I did catch a decent 2.5lb Large Mouth in the same area I caught 2 others a few weekends before. I caught it on a jerkbait in about 9' of water.

    Re: Cedar Creek Reports (mikedaleo)

Last two trips to CC I had to wait several minutes to unload and load back up, lake was very crowded, hard to find parking space. Found a few suckers for crankbaits off the dam.
Almost had the lake to myself at night during the week though, good bite on various worms.

    Re: Cedar Creek Reports (kyrangerman519)

Went to Ceder Creek on 6/1. It was my first trip there, my pardners third time. Anyway the water was pretty clear , temp got up to 80 degrees in the afternoon. We caught many small bass in the 11-12 inch range and did manage to get one that weighed 3-13 and one that went 2-8. The two larger fish came on a #5 shadrap. Other baits used were finess worm...zoom speedcraw...spinerbait and db2. Most were caught close to deep water.
Hope this helps someone.........I'm ready to go back
This is going to be a great fishery:

    Re: Cedar Creek Reports (WILDCATBASSCAT)

    July 12th
    6pm-10pm
    Water Temp: 79degrees

Several people catching fish at the ends of tree lines and along fence rows. They where using small worms and plastics but only catching short fish.

I targeted fish in 15-20' of water near the channel and on dropoffs. Throwing a 10" Junebug Zoom Tx rigged worm.

    4 fish - 1 short 3 keepers over 2lbs, 1 close to 4lbs

My partner had several hits and boated a keeper late in the evening.

If you launch from ramp on 150 run down the lake and find the submerged roadbed of old 150. Caught a nice 4lb+ bass off it last weekend in about 10' of water. Fish that bank on the left where the trees are working it away from 150. It has a nice little drop and good fish can be caught there.

In the morning Horny Toads have been working really well!! Buzzbaits have not been doign that great.

White Grubs Tx rigged are killer on this lake!!!

    Cedar Creek

Fished Saturday and Sunday (11-10 & 11-11), SLOW with the lake dropped and a cold front rolling in nothing was biting. Caught a few small ones but nothing close to keepers.

Grew up around the Cedar Creek Lake area, and have started doing some limited guiding on it. Had a super year there last year - 3 over 6# and several in the 4 to 5 pound class. This is a super fishery, just hoping that it doesn't become too pressured.

    Re: (Bullet3119)

went to cedar creek this weekend. caught most of my fish in shallow water about 5 feet.. had a few nice bass most of them were small.. the lake was very very crowded.. i have been there a lot and this was by far the most crowded i have ever saw it.. i got there at 630am and had to wait in line to put in.. there was a small tourney going on probably about 20 boats. by about 12:00 i drove back by the ramp by the dam and there was not a open parking spot to be found.. this is a great lake with some big fish but i think it is getting way to much pressure..

I haven't been there for several weeks, I'm sure it is still very fishable, just be careful around all the trees. If the weather is good... be ready for a crowd, they are fishing it to death from what I hear.

    Report

Fished May 5th and 6th. Water temp was in the mid 60's. Weather was in the 60's also with an off and on overcast. Most productive baits were soft creature baits. We caught 15 fish only one over 20" that when 5lb 6oz (21-1/8") it was caught of the dam end of the lake and had a nice bloody tail. Locals said that the first flight of spawners have already wnet on this lake.
