Re: Coffeen Lake, Montgomery Co (Rudeman)

    Date/Time- Sunday May 16th 7:30-3:30

Weather conditions- Rain to start the day, overcast all day. Winds NE 10-12. Been raining for much of the week before.

    Depth-6' and less

    Water temp- 72-75

Topograhic details (points, drop-offs, humps, etc)- Backs of coves and pockets

    Type of cover- Grass

Water conditions- Stained to muddy. Had a lot of rain lately

Pretty much just frog fished for most of the day. They were choking the frog. Threw a fluke off of a couple main lake points and caught a few. The biggest one (18 in) was caught on a fluke. Ended up with about 30 fish for the day.

    Date/Time- 5/23/10 5:15-12:15

Weather conditions- Bluebird skies, 70 at take off 90 at noon

Depth- Fished shallow grass in the early morning and then main lake points 8-20ft

    Water temp- 75-84

    Water conditions- Stained

Fish still biting the frog on the all the grass, usually hanging on the edge. As it warmed, moved off the bank and threw c-rigs and wacky worms. Found several really productive points. Caught about 20-25 fish, 4-5 of them being 15-16 in.

Fished here last week. Lots of chunky 2-3 pounders, one near four. In the pockets off the main
lake. Partner caught about 10 fish, I got 8 with the four pounder. Most came on whacky rig, 4
pounder on jig off a laydown. 61 degree water with major storm front approaching that night.
Where did all thick grass go???????????
