cold snowy day

I am nuts so I went to clear pond in Kickapoo State Park today. As a small mouth junkie I fish Dale Hollow in the winter sooooo I thought I would use cold water tackle today . Started out with a float and fly no luck one pulldown and a brief hookup it was a rainbow and it shook off. Tried a jerkbait for a short period no takers. Went to my catch anything in cold water lure a silver buddy. A buddy for those unfaliiar with it is a chunk of stainless steel with a piece of lead molded on and two treble hooks. First cast it dropped about 20' I raised it up and got some grass ripped it off boom first fish. This method worked for three hours caught lM and trout nothing big but considering it was in the twenties and water temps were 41-44 degrees and snowing I had a great time . next trip newton then south prolly Dale or Kentucky lake. Remember stay thirsty my friends
