The bad thing yesterday was that we got the bites..Had a 4+ break me off second cast..using braid. Must have been a bad spot in the line..he jumped a few times to let me know that I didnt catch him..My partner had several on that come unbuttoned. After he had 3 or 4 failed hookups, I told him to let me see his frog. He has never used one before and he had it rigged with like a 1/0 worm hook and didnt have it near coming out the back of the frog.. It got bad tough from there on out.

    That sucks!

Of course, I don't have any room to talk............

I was fishing a Sweet Beaver on Lake Fork a couple of years ago with a 4/0 hook. Kept getting bites and never could get one hooked up. Finally took a good look at my rig. The hook would BARELY make it through the plastic. Switched over to a 5/0 and caught a 6 lb. 3 oz. and a 6 lb. 2 oz. fish in the same spot......

Makes me wonder how big the ones were I was shaking off..................
