    Rod suggestion

I am looking to buy a new rod for general jig fishing and wanted to get some suggestions...I am however on a budget. I currently have a BPS graphite series 7'MH casting rod but it is not very sensitive and pretty heavy. I am looking for a rod under $100, but preferably closer to the 80 range. Any suggestions on what to look at or stay away from in that range?

I would def check out the Falcon Bucoos. They are close to your price range, they are well balanced, sensitive, and American made. IMO they are the the best rod you can get in that price range. Ive also heard good things about the new Powell diesels. I have never felt one but I own several powell max's and they make good rods.

Shimano Compre, BPS Carbonlite and if you look around, it's very possible that you can find a Powell Endurance in that price range.

Take a look at the Denali Jadewood Series for around $89. They are extremely nice rods in that price range.

    Re: Rod suggestion (Stratos92)

Bass Pro has a rod trade in sale this year for the first time. So I would recommend waiting til that sale starts, trade in a rod that you no longer use anymore and depending on how much your new rod costs you are looking to buy Bass Pro will knock off $5-100 dollars off the price of the new rod. I have a BuCoo and LOVE IT. If you trade in a rod and spend $75-99.99 they take $15 off and from 100-119.99 is $20. Make sure the rod you are wanting is participating in the rod trade in deal. So if a BuCoo is 99.99 and you trade a rod in you will be paying $85 + tax for it....in your price range. The Shimano Compre is 109.99 so you will be paying 89.99 + tax....in your price range.

    Re: Rod suggestion (mowigglewart)

I would also get a Denali Jadewood. They are built like a high dollar rod and you can pick them up for under 100. Plus they come with a great guarantee.
    Thanks,

    Re: (Stratos92)

The salesman said that all rods in stock will be included in the rod trade in discount.
