What Jerkbait rod for Vision 110's?

I'm getting into some higher end jerkbaits. Megabass Vision 110 and 95's to be specific. I have a PILE of rods and reels and most of my stuff is technique specific but just not sure what I want to use for a jerkbait rod? I've never thrown much jerkbaits in the past and really want to give them an honest try this late winter/early spring but I don't want to fight my gear with them. What are you guys using on the Vision 110's and similar Lucky Craft?

    Thanks,
    Clint

I use the Mike McClelland signature series falcon cara I have used a lot of rods but this one feels the best and cast the bait the best this is the 6'8" but the 6'5" cara split grip would work too it just feels a little short in my hands but I have both

I tried the 7' rods also but I beat the side of the boat with it too much the 704 is a great rod maybe if I was 7ft tall and had shorter arms (I am only 6'1" with long arms ) I broke a 704cb last spring trying to jerkbait with it and had it replaced and broke the tip again the next weekend so I am sticking with the shorter rod

I watched a Gary Dobyns video online last night with him talking about jerkbaits. he said he prefers the CB704 and he thought the CB705 was too much rod, he was talking Staysee 90's I think. I'm 6'1" myself with short arms and I prefer a 6'6" rod. I build rods as well. I have a bunch of customs along with factory rods. Jerkbaits are new to me and I want a rod just for them. Will be Mega Vision 110's, Luck E Strike RC Stix, and a variety of Lucky Craft Pointers. I'm not set on a custom or a factory rod. Just trying to decide what is the best rod for the technique. I'll either build or buy in the next month or so. Thanks for the suggestions so far, but I really think 7 foot is too long for me

My favorite Vision 110 rod is the original Megabass Elsiel - it's 6'10" and was made for that bait. The shorter Etna feels very similar but measures only 6'2".

My favorite sub 7' domestic rod for 110's is the Loomis MBR 782 GLX though the IMX works fine as well. Good luck on your search!

The Loomis CBR 783 is an awesome rod for those baits in open water. Stick a fish on that rod and I'd be really, really surprised if you lost it.

The little known and totally ignored CBR 785 works well also...not as soft but also not over opwered at all by a 1/2 oz. jerkbait

I still use a 5'6" pistol grip for most of my jerkbaiting.

Daiwa tatula elite 6'8" ML seth feider rod, and/or the Megabass Jerkbait special. I like a more moderate action for my jerkbaits personall, or if its a fast action rod then i go to a ML.

Any of you try the Abu Garcia Ike rod (6'4") for jerkbaits?
