    Re: favorite rod brand (bassboogieman)

    I have 1 Kistler Helium & 1 Ugly stick

All the rest are St. Croix..Premiers, Advids, and a new Legends rod

For the price, I like the St Croix rods.

The Ugly stick is for guests that are too cheap to bring thier own stuff..they aint getting my St Crioxs or Kistler.

Gosh, I hate to admit it but I bought 20 shakespear synergy rods for 7.50 a peice thinking that they would fall apart and need to be replaced. Well that was 4 years ago, still have 10 i have not used yet. John

I vote for Kistler also. I have several heliums and the composite crankbait rod and love them. If the helium is not in your budget, check out the graphite series of Kistlers. They are very fine rods also. I am going to get me a drop shot special in that line of rods. They are as fine as you can get for the price.

I don't see a place for either "Snoopy", or "Unknown from Wal-Mart." How am I supposed to vote?

There are a ton of quality rods out there, but the best bang for your buck has the be the American Rod Smiths.

Kistler Helium for me. I'd love to try one of the new ones, but at $300+, my wife would divorce me....

Another Avid lover (own four) here, but am unfaithful to them, in that I also fondle TeamAllStars (3) and LowRiders (2) as well.
(Shhhhhh...don't ask me about the Castaways! The Avids would divorce me.)
