For 15 years I've had 2 Shimano baitcasters on Berkeley Lightning Rods. In the last couple months I have bought 3 new Lew's casting reels and rods and I'm loving them.

Daiwa Steez SV103XS and Daiwa Theory 3012.
I absolutely love my Metaniums and Calcutta Conquest but there is something about the Stella that just is simply amazing...

Last season i would have said the 13 met, i thought that reel was the shizz when i got it and it was hands down the most expensive reel I’ve ever purchased (have a bunch of lews offerings and i love there cheaper stuff like the tourney pros and the super duty great reels for the price)
This season that title has to go to the daiwa tatula SV TW. Got it this winter and took it out for the first time a couple of months ago. That reel cast like a dream and i finally understand what the hype with the SV spools is all about. My Mets were good reels, and i could kinda skip 20lb sniper on it, but this tatula is a night and day difference in flawless casting and i have zero fear fully sending a skip with it.
I was so impressed that within days of fishing it i bought a used stees SV from a member here to see what that hype is about.
I just purchased a Pflueger President (30) and can't wait to use it.
I got a Tatula Elite and they are a sweet reel.. Smooth as Silk..
Anything that has LEWS written on it......
